These terms cover the use of this website and Alliance membership. If something here does not sit right with you, email info@sctechia.com.au before you join.
You are welcome to browse this site, read what is on it and share links to it. Please do not attempt to interfere with the site, gain access to parts of it that are not public, or use automated tools to harvest information about our members or board.
The Alliance name, logo and the content of this site belong to the Sunshine Coast Tech Alliance or to the organisations that supplied it. Member and partner logos remain the property of those organisations and appear here with their permission.
Submitting the registration form is an application to join. Membership begins when your payment is received and we confirm it by email. The board may decline an application, and if we do, any payment is refunded in full.
Membership is annual and the fee is shown on the Become a Member page at the time you join. Fees are in Australian dollars. Your membership runs for twelve months from the date we confirm it.
We will contact you before your membership is due to expire. You are not locked into an ongoing commitment beyond the twelve months you have paid for.
Business Member and Thought Leader tiers include a set number of named contacts from the same organisation. You can change who those people are at any time by emailing us. Membership belongs to the organisation, not to the individual.
You can cancel at any time by emailing info@sctechia.com.au. Because membership is an annual arrangement, fees already paid are generally not refunded, though the board will consider genuine hardship or an error on our part. Nothing here limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
The board may end a membership where a member behaves in a way that damages the Alliance or its community. We would refund the unused portion of the year in that situation.
Event details, dates, venues and speakers can change, and occasionally an event has to be cancelled. Where an event is ticketed, the ticket terms are handled by the ticketing provider. Photographs and video are often taken at Alliance events and may be used in our communications. If you would prefer not to appear, tell the organiser on the day and we will respect that.
The speakers panel is a service for members. Registering expresses your interest and does not guarantee that you will be approached. We pass your details to organisations looking for a speaker, so only register if you are comfortable with that.
We work to keep this site accurate and available, and we will fix errors when we find them. What is published here is general information about the Alliance and the region's digital economy. It is not professional, legal, financial or technical advice, and you should not rely on it as though it were.
To the extent the law allows, the Alliance is not liable for loss arising from your use of this website. Nothing in these terms excludes any guarantee that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law.

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and material changes affecting members will be notified by email.
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
